The October issue of the APA (Automatyka, Podzespoły, Aplikacje (Automation, Components, Applications)) contains several interesting articles. First, a brief summary of the market in industrial automation concerning sales percentages for programmable logic controllers (SIEMENS still in the first place). The article contains the description of products and an extra section presenting companies that, beside the ‘greatest ones', try to do something in the market. Secondly, optical measurements involving not only photocells, but also lasers. Some theory and... obviously marketing will never hurt. And market novelties of course: in other words who, what and why introduces in the market.
