We Broaden Our Knowledge: PMI Seminar ...

On behalf of the PMI Poznań we invite you to participate in the next PMI seminar, that will be held in just two weeks - on the last Thursday of the month - June 30th, 2011, at 6 p.m. in the building of the Instytut Logistyki i Magazynowania at ul. Estkowskiego 6 in Poznań. The participation is free of charge.

The June seminar will feature the following speakers:

Daniel Martyniuk and Artur Świętanowski, Deloitte Business Consulting S.A., experts with years of experience who will undertake the discussion about the implementation of project and project portfolio management tools.

There are several good ways to effectively implement the PPM tools in an organization. There are infinitely many ways to do this improperly - ineffectively without getting intended benefits but with additional costs. The presentation will then be about how to eat using a fork but also about how to not to stick it into a tongue. All based on experience from several larger and smaller implementation projects.

Daniel is an experienced project director, who, for over 10 years, has specialized in improving the effectiveness of project implementation and in implementing the organizational methods of improving the structures of project portfolio management in order to increase transparency of projects, to select suitable projects and to optimize the use of limited resources.

Artur is a project manager with over 10-year experience in project management and over 15-year experience in IT. Since 2001 he has participated in many projects aimed at the optimization of the project and project portfolio  management methods.

Dominik Chrzanowski - ValueTank Sp. z o.o. who will prompt us to think about words: Do you implement PPM tools? Think carefully about it ...

Mrożek once wrote that ‘people well-mannered avoid speaking about the obvious’. Apparently many of the known and well-mannered people make obvious mistakes, however. It would seem that the approach to implementing the PPM systems should start from a very precise definition of the needs, comparing them with a market offer and end with the selection and implementation of the system. But often the order is reversed - the primary need appears to buy a ‘tool’ that is intended to resolve all problems. The knowledge about a market offer of tools is not so important in this case. And then the situation is like by Mrożek ‘tomorrow is today, even though it is tomorrow’.

Dominik is an Expert in management of projects, programs and project portfolios. He is a certified PRINCE 2 Project Manager and MSP Program Manager. Expert and practitioner in PMI and OGC methods. Coach.
